Google Indexing API helped solve the problem in a relatively short period of time.
Previously, the client was submitting pages for indexing through Google Search Console one by one, taking 5 to 10 minutes per page. This was not only slow but also inefficient (not all pages were indexed immediately).
Using the Google Indexing API, we were able to resubmit up to 100 pages per iteration and up to 200 pages per day for a single project! This provided a significant boost, and many of the site's pages were indexed by Google, improving visibility and attracting more traffic. Google Indexing API is a great solution for poor indexing issues.
Effective for both new and old websites
New websites do not always get indexed quickly and completely. Sometimes only the homepage and category pages are indexed. The site may even be optimized for Google, but something may still go wrong. Poor initial indexing does not equal a poor site.
Older websites are less likely to have this problem. However, some pages may not be indexed. These could be high-quality pages: non-spammy, search-optimized. We often have cases where we resubmit such pages through the Google Indexing API, and they quickly rank high and drive traffic. It also helps expedite the removal of 404 pages from search or the consolidation of addresses through a 301 redirect.
Quick Implementation of New and Updated Pages
We use accelerated indexing for all new and updated pages. Standard indexing can take quite some time, and during this period, competitors may copy your content — causing Google to mistakenly treat their site as the original source.
- New pages. As soon as a new page is added, we submit it through the Google Indexing API so Google can discover and rank it as quickly as possible.
- Updated pages. When content is refreshed, we use the same API to determine when the new version has been indexed and how it impacts the site’s search rankings.
